Conflict is a part of private organizational life and may occur with an individual. It also exist between groups while conflict is generally perceived or seen as been dysfunctional, it can also be beneficiary because it may give opportunity to people to analyze issues in different perspectives.
One time executive of an institution mentioned that, where there are no conflicts or an issue, it could not have been sufficiently analyzed and to find decision on the issue was usually postponed until and aspect were critically evaluated.
There are many sources of conflict today, most establishment are characterized by complex relationship and a high degree of interdependence of task that causes frictions (conflict).
There are pressures to conform with, which may stifle an atmosphere for conflict resolution and highly structured power relationship tends op emerge rapidly. Though conflict is inevitable, we should find some possible means to reduce or avoid it for the smooth running (operation) and co-existence in the private organizations.

Between these actors conflict arise of which many authors have written on the causes of industrial problem or conflict in private organization and many articles are written the same problem are found in Nigeria Newspaper magazines OGWU (2003).
According to B. Flippo (1980) in his book panel management analyzed that “Despite the best management practice in acting and communicating” conflict between the employees in private organization will occur. The total absence of conflict would be unbelievable loving and sound suppressed.
One of the characteristic of  mature group is its willingness and ability to bring supposed conflicts to the surface where they may be discussed with a greater opportunity of resolution. It would be nice to insist that all conflicts can be eliminated in some manner or other but their exposure and discussion will contribute greatly toward their reduction. So conflicts per se is neither bad nor contrary to good private organization.

1.2     STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
An industrial conflict is today known to have unhealthy effect on private organizations. Some people in our society or institutions are willingly aiding and abetting industrial conflicts and unmindful of the harm they are causing to thousands of workers who are already employed and several others who are to take up job some day.
How ill management feel when no one (employee or labour) comes up to be employed in any private organization for fear of conflict in such private organizations. It is a source of insecurity for them and a room that may boomerang on our private organizations.
The above and many other problems make the research necessary.

Industrial conflict is today described as a very serious problem. It is one that had for long time now disturbed the welfare of the employed applicants and the management. This has far rehing conservancies on the different industrial techniques and the individual in particular and society in general.
So many scholars have tried to research an effective means of achieving industrial harmony in every organization, but due to divergent
objectives of the various actors in organization. As we know productivity will nose dive in the presence of conflict, so the parties involve should advance a meeting point were all the various interest can be harmonies for the realization of industrial goal and objective.
Social scientists, government and management are also engaged in the cry against industrial conflict. No one has successfully come out with a statement on its causes. The researcher is therefore going to take close look at the problems of industrial conflict, what causes it, and its effect on private organization and suggest possible solutions to the problem.
